  • Background

    A start-up beverage manufacturer located in Goderich in search of a versatile candidate with experience in Accounting and can work at the intersection of Accounting, Finance, and Supply Chain. The Accountant/Business Generalist will work with the General Manager and the leadership team in running day-to-day and strategic operations for a 50+ team and growing.   • Key Purpose

    To implement reporting and accounting rigor as the organization tries to scale and assist with procurement, inventory management, and sales tracking.

  • Duties

    • Serve as the first point of contact for financials, budget planning, and purchase requests.
    • Partner with the general manager and leadership team to optimize reporting and prioritize investment areas.
    • Coordinate forecasting and working capital requests.
    • Help manage invoices, track sales, and identify opportunities to reduce cost.
    • Drive inventory review and storeroom audits (reconcile stock card).
    • Manage bank draft documentation and bank statement reconciliation.
    • Work with procurement to update COGS and maintain price sheets.
    • Assist with monthly/quarterly reporting and reviews.
    • Maintain and monitor asset listing for depreciation and capitalization purposes.
  • Education & Experience

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
    • Minimum of 2 – 4 years of experience in Accounting.
  • Qualities and Skills

    • Ability to publish standard financial reports in compliance with Sierra Leone tax reporting requirements (pro-forma, cash flow, income statement, balance sheet, account receivables, account payable, tax credits and receipts).
    • Ability to adapt and manage oneself in unexpected or uncertain situations.
    • Ability to work well with others.
    • Good communications skills (within and out of Sierra Leone through conference calls).
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
    • Proficient in using Google Drive, Google Docs, video conferencing applications, and the Internet.
    • Familiar with basic Accounting tools/applications like Quickbooks, Quicken, etc.) is a plus.
