It places orphaned children ages 3-6 into loving homes with families who it trains and supports, whilst attending to their educational needs, physical health and socio-emotional wellbeing of the children it serves. The word Sudu means “home” and it is derived from the Fulani language, a language spoken across various countries in Africa.

  • Job Purpose

  • Duties

    • Perform clerical duties: take meeting notes, maintain files, and organize documents; photocopy, fax, etc. as needed.
    • Manage, plan, and implement a proactive communication program to enhance the reputation of the organization and visibility of the organization.
    • Assist in preparing information and research materials.
    • Oversee the organization's digital communication, including the content for the website, social media, and newsletters.
    • Coordinate and provide logistical support to SUDU staff, parents and other stakeholders.
    • Respond to web correspondence, social media posts, and emails.
    • Research and gather documentation on company position in industry.
    • Set up, break down, organize, and maintain conference rooms, training rooms, and meeting rooms.
    • Update company calendars.
    • Create and maintain PowerPoint presentations.
    • Attend company functions and networking events.
    • Shadow multiple office positions and train in a variety of tasks.
    • Assist the Executive Director/Head of Operations with various administrative tasks such as typing reports, plans, schedules, update company calendars, drafting budgets and documents related to SUDU work.
    • Manage databases and input information, data, and records.
    • Blogging (at least two every month).
  • Education and Experience

    • Higher National Diploma or bachelor’s degree in International Affairs, Education, Business Administration, Marketing, Communication, Public Relations, Journalism or any other relevant field.
  • Qualities and Skills

    • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).
    • Proven ability to develop communication strategies and materials in collaboration with a diverse team.
    • Self-driven and proactive mindset.
    • Ability to handle multiple projects under time and resource pressure.
    • Flexibility to perform other duties as required by SUDU.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Self-directed and able to work without supervision.
    • Energetic and eager to tackle new projects and ideas.
