  • Key Purpose

    To support the organization’s training and development activities as part of its capacity building programs in Sierra Leone and to identify training needs, conducting training analysis, and ensuring that are all trainings are delivered according to plan.

  • Duties

    • Coordinate, develop and co-facilitate interactive, experiential workshops and activities for Grow Salone’s training program.
    • Collaborate with other Grow Salone’s team to deliver innovative training solutions to graduates.
    • Supervise the training assistant in delivering training and coaching them and other staff in program development, facilitation and workshop design.
    • Maintain necessary documentation/case files, program data entry, and records and provide periodic progress reports as necessary.
    • Identify training and development needs of programme beneficiaries through needs analysis, appraisal schemes and regular consultation with assistant trainer.
    • Manage the day-to-day delivery of training including but not limited to producing training materials and continuously evaluating training to ensure that training requirements are met.
    • Keep up to date with developments in training by reading relevant journals, going to meetings, and attending relevant courses.
    • Collect, input, and review attendance, evaluation and other data related to projects and student progress.
  • Education & Experience

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Education or any related field.
    • Combined experience and/or formal training equivalent to a minimum of five (5) years of experience.
    • Experience working with youth and knowledge of capacity development.
    • Experience in delivering engaging learning experiences.
    • Experience as a trainer and/or member of a team of trainers in delivering hard and soft skills to improve youth proficiency for workplace success.
    • Experience using interactive experiential learning strategies, counselling, and conflict resolution skills and leadership strategies in culturally diverse settings with youth.
    • Experience in project or program management.
