Spare Parts Supervisor

  • Key Purpose

    Coordinate all spare parts and tyres activities nationwide to improve profitability and enhance customer satisfaction.

  • Duties

    • Manage and oversee the Spare Parts department in collaboration with all other functions of the company.
    • Ensure seamless communication among the Spare Parts department, workshop and customers.
    • Ensure profitable sales of spare parts including accessories and tyres.
    • Initiate and propose new business opportunities and ideas.
    • Develop, propose and implement new offers to existing and potential customers.
    • Ensure access to the latest Electronic Parts Catalogue (EPC).
    • Ensure manufacturer’s standards are adhered to at all times.
    • Monitors the parts inventory database and places orders as needed.
    • Follows up and tracks all orders for customers and stock.
    • Liaise with manufacturers, brands and product managers at the Head Office.
    • Produce monthly and periodic reports for the Spare Parts operations.
    • Prepare schedules for periodic and annual stock takes.
    • Understand and implement all CFAO, Toyota and other manufacturer internal procedures.
    • Produce projections/forecasts for stock based on customers’ demands.
    • Balance stock levels to prevent holding stock to provision.
    • Perform other duties that may be assigned.
  • Education and Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Operations Management, or related field.
    • Higher National Diploma in Automobile Engineering or Supply Chain Management from a reputable institution.
    • A minimum of three (3) years’ experience a leading spare parts role.
    • A minimum of five (5) years’ experience with spare parts.
    • Knowledge of different brands and types of spare parts.
  • Qualities and Skills

    • Ability to project stock based on customers’ demands.
    • Strong leadership skills and self-driven.
    • Excellent communication skills; verbal and written.
    • Ability to influence others and be inspirational to achieve targets.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
    • Strong critical thinking and analytical thinking skills.
    • Ability to provide guidance and advice on selection or fitting to technicians, retailers and customers.
    • Strong problem solving and strategic thinking skills.
